Dr. Charles Teplin has worked successfully with new companies, non-profits, venture capitalists, national laboratories and in academia. After making new nonlinear optic measurements from metallic thin films, Chaz received his PhD in Physics from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2002. After graduate school, Chaz joined the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) where he made key scientific, technological and organizational contributuions to many challenges facing solar photovoltaics. In 2012, Chaz started Teplin Scientific and began working part-time with the LED lighting startup Terralux. For Terralux, Chaz led the design and development of LEDSENSE, an Internet of Things (IoT) Building Controls platform.
